This retreat welcomes a range of movers, but is best suited for those with some prior experience in Pilates, Essentrics®, or similar movement modalities. If you’ve been mostly sedentary for a long period of time or are currently working through significant mobility limitations, this particular retreat may not be the best fit at this time. 

The classes are thoughtfully designed with layered options and progressive themes; having a foundation will help you feel confident and get the most out of the week. That said, you don’t need to be an expert!  Meg and Sasha are intuitive, highly experienced teachers who offer real-time guidance, individual motivations, and hands-on support. Whether you’re returning to your practice, looking to deepen it, or exploring new ways of moving, you’ll feel encouraged to meet yourself exactly where you are.

Not at all! This retreat is yours to experience in the way that feels best for you. While a rich schedule of classes and offerings is available, every session is optional. Whether it means skipping a class to rest, explore, or enjoy quiet time by the beach, each participant is encouraged to listen to their body, follow their energy, and make the experience uniquely their own.

Bringing a spouse or travel companion who isn’t interested in joining the retreat classes? That’s absolutely welcome! Meg and Sasha are happy to accommodate non-participating guests. While you’re in class, your guest can enjoy everything Nosara and Bodhi Tree have to offer. It’s the perfect opportunity to share a beautiful week together, each in your own way.

Not at all. Many participants attend solo, and this retreat — along with the location — is an ideal setting for it. The Embodied Reset is intentionally designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and supportive, whether arriving with a friend or completely on your own. Nosara offers a beautiful balance of solitude and connection — from quiet jungle walks to breathtaking beach sunsets, it’s a powerful place to reconnect with yourself. The thoughtfully paced schedule allows for both meaningful group experiences and ample time to rest and reflect. Throughout the week, Meg and Sasha offer warm, attentive support — from helping guests settle in to making sure everyone feels at ease during meals and moments in between. If there’s a call to come solo, trust it. It often leads to the most rewarding kind of reset.

Absolutely! We’re happy to help match you with another guest who’s also looking to share. Just reach out to us here, and we’ll connect you with potential roommates so you can chat beforehand and see if it feels like a good fit before booking. Our Casitas are great accommodations for sharing thanks to their separate bedrooms.

Absolutely! If you’d like to bring a companion who won’t be joining the scheduled movement sessions, they’re welcome to enjoy the beautiful surroundings with you.

Your guest will also be able to enjoy all meals and Bodhi Tree’s amenities, such as the pool, gym, wifi and more. While they won’t be participating in retreat programming, they’ll still be part of the tropical, lush and inspiring winter getaway we’ve created.

We know how important delicious, nourishing food is to feeling your best, and it quickly became one of the unexpected highlights of our inaugural retreat. Participants couldn't stop talking about the incredible quality, variety, and flavour of every meal.

Bodhi Tree goes above and beyond to provide three beautifully prepared buffet-style meals each full retreat day. Using fresh, local, and organic ingredients whenever possible (with no seed oils), each meal features an abundant selection of vibrant salads, seasonal vegetables and fruit, organic meats, fresh fish, and wholesome vegan options. With a different menu each day, there's always something new to enjoy. Bodhi Tree is also happy to accommodate vegan and gluten-free dietary needs.

For those who wish, the full-service bar offers a selection of organic and classic cocktails, wine, and artisanal beer, available for purchase.

Sharing beautiful meals together is one of the many ways we connect throughout the retreat, and it's an experience participants fondly remember long after they return home.

A whole week without meal planning, cooking, or cleanup is a retreat in itself!

We completely understand how important it is to feel safe, supported, and well cared for—especially when traveling. We're committed to creating an inclusive and trusted retreat environment where everyone’s needs are taken seriously.

After registering, you’ll receive an intake form where you can share any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical conditions, or personal needs. This helps us prepare and do our best to support you throughout the retreat (please note: Bodhi Tree can accommodate vegan and gluten-free requests).

That said, please keep in mind that Nosara is a small town in Costa Rica. While there are a number of local, trusted medical clinics available, access to specialized healthcare, prescriptions, or certain dietary ingredients may be limited. In the case of any issues, we’ll be here to support you—but we encourage you to plan accordingly and travel prepared. 

If you have serious allergies, health concerns, or specific medical or dietary needs, we strongly recommend consulting your healthcare provider, travelling with what you might need in case of an emergency, and securing travel medical insurance before your trip. We also encourage you to reach out to us before booking so we can talk through whether the retreat is the right fit and how to best support you.
